I’ve recently gotten a bad habit of putting things under the broiler, like english muffins, and forgetting about them. Three times this has ended up as a flaming disaster in the oven. Tonight I remember just before the ignition point. All that was left was a smoking black disk.

EDIT:

DAMMIT I DID IT AGAIN. i set the timer, its not even close to done, I come back and I get another hockey puck. I’m working so I’ll just sit back down and forget about the thing until I think damn I should get something to eatOFUCKAGAINSHIT

I had that problem with reheating pizza in the convection oven so I would only set the timer for 30 minutes. It would run out and then the pizza would be perfectly warm.

yea, i used to have a toaster oven and when that broke i now just use the oven broiler, for the second try tonight I did set a timer

Oh god. At out cabin that we share with s few other parties, we keep bread and such in the oven because of rodents and because we almost* never use the oven anyways.

* except for that time when we wanted a frozen pizza. That was messy.
